Initial ideas soon turned into reality with the professional advice and experience of Read Garden Rooms coming to the fore. Always prompt to reply with last minute changes and questions we had even during the build nothing was too much trouble. If you’re sitting on the fence don’t hesitate!
Many thanks to Tristen and the team!"

Client Brief

Our customer is a yacht builder by profession so has a keen eye for detail and wanted to create a home bar with a luxurious feel.
The room is located in the rear right corner of the garden and they wanted to look back towards the house with as much view of the garden as possible, hence offsetting the French doors to the left!

Challenges & Solutions

  • Build time - 13 working days

  • Cedar cladding provides a fantastic aesthetic finish but is a costly material to buy, so we used this on the front and left elevation which are the sides seen from the house, then used an anthracite grey metal sheet cladding on the rear and right elevation which are not seen

  • Customer would have liked to build the whole thing himself but didn’t have the time, he is however doing the internal finishes including the flooring and building of a bespoke rosewood bar. We are very happy to work with customers who wish to have some practical involvement in the build, but without the hassle of building the whole thing
